Each year nearly 800,000 people die by suicide in the world. That is roughly one death every 40 seconds, which leads suicide as the 2nd cause of death for ages 15-24. Suicide among males is four times higher than among females. Male deaths represent 79% of all US suicides. Lesbian, gay, and bisexual kids are 3x more likely than straight kids to attempt suicide at some point in their lives. Yet physical or verbal harassment or abuse still enter societies daily – increasing the rate of self-harm and suicide by 2.5x to 8x.

To promote the awareness of the devastating effect depression has human life globally, we created the “The Talk”. The still poignantly uses sped-up boats and wake lines to illustrate a time-traveling like event that is eventually leads to an euphoric awakening.
